Thanks to Danvers Community Access Television, we have this presentation on our YouTube channel here.
Recorded Wednesday, October 20th, 7pm.
Celebrate our 1st live speaker event in Tapley Memorial Hall since March 11, 2020!
Liam Jones, MA, presents the work of his internship for a post-graduate Certificate in Public History from Salem State University. Liam has been exploring and researching artifacts with curatorial volunteer, Sheila Cook-Kayser, retired National Park Service Educator, to digitize the Danvers Historical Society’s collections. This project, funded in part by a Digital Capacity grant from Mass Humanities, supports the effort to photograph, manage, digitize and present artifacts to the on-line audience.
Liam is looking forward to taking his experience further and entering into the field of public history. He will discuss many artifacts newly displayed in Tapley Memorial Hall, bringing their connections and stories to life. A casual Q&A session follows. Please join us to learn and celebrate the importance of Danvers History.
